DATA PROTECTION AND GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS (GDPR)
Mind Body EDS takes the management and security of personal information seriously and has appropriate controls in place to ensure it remains secure. On Friday 25th May 2018 the GDPR will come into force. The GDPR is new legislation that will apply across the EU. It replaces the current Data Protection Act. Our Data Protection and Retention Policy and our Privacy Statements have been reviewed in light of the new legislation.
Privacy Statement
When an individual makes a donation, submits an enquiry, applies for a grant, contacts or volunteers for Mind Body EDS, we may collect and store some data relating to some individuals.
What data do we collect?
We collect some of the following types of data relating to individuals if needed:
· Name
· Email Address
· Postal Address
· Phone number
· Gift Aid declarations
· Some medical information
· Date of birth
· Gender
· Photos/videos
We check what data we have on individuals every two years and remove it if we no longer need it.
What do we use it for?
Any of the information listed above might be needed to manage individual enquiries, applications and to organise and run activities for our charity. We won’t ever use this data for anything else unless individuals give us active consent for that additional use.
If consent is provided, Mind Body EDS will add the email to our mailing list for the charity’s marketing/promotional communications. We will always include opt-out on all such communications. Consent can be withdrawn at any point by contacting Mind Body EDS.

We will never give data to third parties for that third party to use.
We use third party services (e.g. Google G Suite) to store or process data – we will always make that they are reputable, secure and GDPR-compliant, and that data is kept safe.
As an individual, what can I ask Mind Body EDS to do?
At any time you can ask to view, update or correct any data we hold on you. You can also ask that we stop using your data or that we erase it. To request any of these, please contact Mind Body EDS.
